During the procedure a tiny plasma flash also referred as an electrical arc is being discharged from the tip of the Fibroblast handpiece. The tool itself never touches the skin however plasma flash creates a tiny dot upon contact. There is no cuts and no blood. This innovative technology uses sublimation process, turning solid directly to gas to tighten skin tissue. Targeted tissue sublimate, causing no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers.
Further dots are applied creating a symmetrical grid over the treatment area. Effects are noticeable right away. Full results become visible after 2-4 weeks. Patient can resume regular activities right away with minimal discomfort.
Fibroblast Plasma Therapy is virtually painless. Numbing cream is used to minimize discomfort before and during procedure. Side effects are minimal and complications are rare. Carbon crusts, a tiny superficial dot which form directly on the skin are part of normal healing process. Correctly treated with aftercare cream will cause no threat and fall off 5-10 days after treatment. Aftercare instructions will be given to a patient following the procedure. It is very important to adhere to our aftercare advice.

What is Purebeau Fibroblast treatment?
Fibroblast treatment is a non-surgical lift procedure giving the same results as traditional surgery. It is safe and bloodless. Numbing is applied locally prior to treatment. This innovative technique will not cause overlifting. Only the excess skin is affected during the procedure. Patients are able to notice results right away although it takes 2-4 weeks for full effect to be visible. Fibroblast procedure may only be performed by the certified specialist.
How does the Fibroblast work?
The Purebeau Fibroblast hand-piece produces a tiny plasma flash which leaps from tip to the skin in a micro-millimetre sized point. This superficial point minimises the skin in its immediate vicinity – which reduces the excess skin, tightening the lid / under eye area. A series of tiny brown spots are strategically placed to attain the desired result for the excess skin. The skin around the spot tightens pulling the cells closer together. It’s the only non surgical treatment to successfully reduce the excess skin instantly. There is no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers. Patient can resume regular activities right away with minimal discomfort.
Is consultation required?
Yes. Anyone interested in Fibroblast procedure is required to have face-to-face consultation. Careful assessment by Alexia will ensure right treatment plan. Multiple factors affect the ageing process. Each person and treated area is different and needs to be determined individually. Our goal is to keep clients informed and meet their expectations. Consultations are 30 minutes.
How is the Fibroblast treatment performed?
When activated, Fibroblast tool creates plasma flash which travels from the tool’s tip to treated area. The tool itself never touches the skin however plasma flash creates a tiny dot upon the contact. Further points are applied creating a symmetrical grid over the treatment area. This in effect causes tightening of skin fibers. Only surface of the skin is affected and deeper layer known as the basal lamina is not. Fibroblast is non-invasive treatment, no cuts to the skin or stitching is necessary. Fibroblast is completely bloodless and without unnecessary damages to surrounding tissues.
How long is the Fibroblast procedure?
To minimize any discomfort numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area. It will take 30-45 minutes for anesthetic to take effect. The procedure itself takes between
15-90 minutes depending on the size of treated area. You will be advised of the duration upon consultation.
Does the treatment hurt?
Fibroblast is a non-surgical treatment with no pain or minimal discomfort reported by patients. Topical cream is applied to numb treated area prior to procedure. Immediately after the treatment the skin will be reddened and lightly swollen. This will usually last up to 3 days, although slight redness may remain for up to 2-3 weeks. Please note upper eye lids will have swelling for approx 3-4 days so please bear this in mind when planning your treatment. During the procedure carbon crusts will form on the skin directly where Fibroblast tool was applied. Crusts should not be touched for 5-10 days however post-procedure after care foundation that can be purchased to camouflage them. To minimize complications you will be informed on proper aftercare following the procedure.
Are there any side effects after the treatment?
Fibroblast is very safe and side-effects are rare but infection, scarring and temporary change of skin pigmentation may occur if patient doesn't follow the adequate aftercare. Carbon crusts, a tiny superficial dots which form directly on the skin are part of normal healing process and when correctly treated with aftercare cream will cause no threat and fall off 5-10 days after treatment. Mild swelling is expected during first 3 days and usually entirely gone by day 5. Majority of our patients do not report any of those after a week.
What is the Fibroblast Plasma Therapy aftercare?
Immediately after treatment, there may be a burning sensation. This will usually resolve during the remainder of the day although if it is particularly uncomfortable or persists for a longer period, then an anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen can be taken.
Following treatment, it is normal to have some swelling. This can be significant around the eyes and can last for several days and may lead to interference with vision in the initial period. Cold compresses may be applied to reduce the swelling. If the swelling is more severe, an anti-inflammatory medication and/or anti-histamine may help alleviate the swelling.
Crusting will usually develop over the treated area, this will often initially be brown or black on the surface of the skin and flake off over the following days. It may take over 2 weeks to completely disappear. It is essential to not pick at this crusting as this may lead to infection or scarring. Occasionally the treated area may become a little weepy, this is part of the normal healing process and will improve with time. However, if it starts to become hot or red or if there is any pus present, then please contact the clinic for advice as this may suggest an infection has developed.
It is essential to keep the treatment area clean, dry and protected with a broad spectrum sunscreen. Do not use alcohol-based cleansers.
It is very important to follow our aftercare recommendations. Carbon crusts CANNOT be scratched or removed. Drying skin by dabbing with a clean, lint-free cloth is allowed.
Purebeau Aftercare cream should be reapplied to the area. Healing skin should be protected from direct sun with SPF50 cream. Sports, swimming and sauna are not permitted until crusts fall off. This should happen within 7-14 days of procedure.
Should I watch for any unusual complications?
Fibroblast Plasma Therapy is very safe but in some rare occasions, complications may occur. Please inform your Fibroblast specialist immediately in case of any unusual symptoms. This may include signs of infection such as excessive redness, pus, blistering or thick, yellow crust forming in treatment area.
Can I use cosmetics after the procedure?
The treated skin area will be covered with the prescribed medical tinted aftercare cream. Clients may use mineral powder only on top of the aftercare cream. Please avoid any moisturizing creams for 5-10 days. This is when usually when carbon crusts fall off. In addition, patients need to avoid all direct heat sources such as sun, UV radiation, saunas etc for the period of at least 4 weeks. Once healed we highly recommend using an SP-50 on the area to prevent ageing and hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure.
How should I prepare for the treatment?
We advise strengthening the skin with Vitamin A cream 1 -2 weeks prior to your scheduled treatment. Alexia will recomend this at your consultation. We suggest not to apply any cosmetics before the procedure, especially mascara if you are having eye treatment. You should inform Alexia about any recent medical conditions and medications taken. Mention any surgeries or aesthetic procedures performed currently on your skin.
You will also be given a full Prep and Restriction information in your booking confirmation email.
Are the full effects of the Fibroblast procedure visible right away?
Most patients should notice the effect of the procedure right away. However, you may experience some swelling post treatment and but results should be visible up to 4 weeks. In some cases patients may need more then one treatment. This depends on treatment area and skin condition as well as patient’s expectations.
How many treatments are required?
In some cases just one treatment may be sufficient, especially with lighter corrections. Many of the treatments will depend on a size of the treated area and customer’s desired degree of correction. Full effect of the first treatment will be visible up to 4 weeks following the procedure. If patient requires additional treatment to achieve optimal results those should be scheduled at 8 weeks intervals. Effectiveness of Fibroblast non-surgical lift is comparable to traditional techniques. In order to evaluate number of required procedures and choosing best treatment plan face-to-face consultation is required. Additional treatments will be at a discounted price. Please see below for prices.
How long the effect of the treatment will last?
The treatment should last long term although it is hard to predicted exactly. Ageing is dynamic process and there are many factors affecting patients individually. Lifestyle, diet and genetics just to mention few. As of today, permanent results are not possible, after Fibroblast procedure or traditional surgery your skin will be a subject to ageing. Your skin will continue to relax (loosen) again. In some rare situations ageing may be accelerated and effectiveness of Fibroblast would be shortened. Purebeau technician will discuss those conditions, so patients have better understanding of what to expect.
